With 13 Multi-expertise regions to provide a local presence close to public-sector and private-sector clients, NGE coordinates 8 core business sectors of construction and public-sector expertise with a single department in ways that benefit customers and projects.
Project financing is cross-disciplinary across all professions and is provided by NGE Concessions, which can invest equity in the projects undertaken by the Group.
A Concessions core business offers complementary expertise in project funding, makes equity investments and develops the Group’s concession assets. It also includes a team dedicated to property development.

We have amassed a great deal of experience in urban infrastructures and earthworks, since these are the foundations on which the success of the Group has been built.
In subsidiary companies and regional bases throughout France, our teams work on local and large-scale projects on behalf of private- and public-sector customers.

Water cycle
We provide comprehensive solutions in the water cycle sector (pipelines, installation of hydraulic and electromechanical equipment, connections, and related structures). Our teams operate across the entire intervention chain: design, construction, rehabilitation, and maintenance of networks as well as the execution of associated structures through civil engineering and underground works.
We also master trenchless rehabilitation techniques for sewage networks to reduce the impact of construction on public roads.

Civil engineering
Transport infrastructures (road and rail engineered structures), industrial infrastructures (wastewater treatment plants, water reservoirs, hydropower plants, etc.) and functional infrastructures (museums, arts centres, etc.) together represent the main strands of our civil engineering core business.
Our expertise is also at work underground with tunnel construction using traditional construction methods and tunnel boring machines, on large-scale excavations, and in the repair and safety upgrading of road, rail and water systems engineered structures.
This work is carried out by our subsidiary NGE Génie Civil, which has a presence in all our multi-expertise regions and within the Major Projects department.

Roads
We carry out every type of surfacing work required for the construction of roads, motorways, airports, urban road networks, etc. Our subsidiary company AGILIS also gives us an involvement in the supply and installation of road equipment by offering alternatives such as concrete road surfaces and a comprehensive range of equipment, including restraint systems, acoustic screens, road markings and surface cleaning.
Our binder plants and fixed and mobile asphalt production plants make us self-sufficient throughout France. We are also able to rely on our own quarries, which again we operate completely independently.

Foundations
Controlling soil-related risks is an area of expertise inseparable from the process of constructing engineered structures. Our subsidiaries offer the full range of geotechnical engineering and site safety techniques applicable to every type of public contracting and construction project.
They are involved in various complex and highly technical operations in soil improvement, deep foundations, reinforcement, supports, marine and underwater river works, difficult access works, etc. Thanks to exclusive patents and processes (AD/OC® nailed wall ELITE® products), they implement innovative solutions against natural risks.

Railways
Our specialists are involved in the construction, upgrading and maintenance of rail track and catenaries. The work of this core business serves rail networks, high-speed rail line projects and urban networks, such as metro and tramway systems.
Electrification and civil engineering signalling works are carried out by TSO Caténaires.
Other specialist services, such as topographic studies, rail industry software development, the rebuilding of mainline and shunting locomotives, and rail safety, enable us to offer a comprehensive range of services.

Energy & Telecoms
We design fixed and mobile telecommunications networks and build the necessary aerial and underground infrastructure. The installation, connection of optical equipment, and network maintenance can be carried out by our teams. We also work on the construction of electrical and digital network infrastructures.
Our areas of application are varied: EV charging points, protection of individuals and assets, control and management of connected structures, energy efficiency of buildings and infrastructure…

Set up of funded projects
NGE CONCESSIONS is the core business responsible for developing and arranging the Group’s funded projects. It provides support for customer projects and is involved whenever the Group’s core sectors of expertise are approached to deliver local and major projects.
NGE CONCESSIONS makes equity investments in its projects, but also maintains a presence in operating companies, thereby facilitating the long-term alignment of interests between funding provider, designer, builder and operator/maintenance provider.

NGE Engineering
NGE Engineering is NGE’s project engineering department, specializing in execution studies and methods (construction methods, operating procedures, choice of materials, etc.) for design-build projects such as viaducts and stations, which are booming in France and abroad.
Designing an infrastructure is a unique challenge: NGE Engineering objective is to secure design choices adapted to our construction methods at a very early stage. These design choices necessarily support the ecological transition of infrastructures.
