NGE FONDATIONS continues to take an eco-responsible attitude to innovation. The company is collaborating with the PRIDYN (Protection against dynamic natural risks) project to develop an eco-friendly rock face retention system based on our ELITE® screen solutions. The mountain resort of Mont-Dore in central France has given permission for the process to be tested on its slopes to protect the valley from boulder falls, at the same time as protecting the local flora.

Challenges

ChalleNGE : A process whose structure protects the forest by using the surrounding trees instead of metal posts:

  • A fastening system approved by the National Forestry Authority (ONF)
  • An anchoring solution that allows trees to continue growing naturally
  • Fewer trees felled and lopped
  • Softer visual impact.
