Tunnel Link Haussmann St-Lazare

NGE built a 175m-long underground gallery at a depth of 30 metres between current terminal station of « RER Eole » (which is the train station Haussmann Saint-Lazare) and the future tunnel going to « La Défense » (future line E of regional express train).

The project is located on one of Paris’ busiest avenue. The excavation required an extremely complex phasing with the use of numerous machines, a temporary support set up step by step. This structure was excavated by the teams using the traditional method as part of this project.

Reducing the groundwater level, using 15 wells. The total flow to pump is approximately 1 000 m3/h in order to maintain water levels under the gallery.
