To increase safety on the RD 1091 road where it crosses through a very active landslide zone between Vizille and Séchilienne, NGE provided its expertise in the form of earthworks, strengthening works, blasting and civil engineering to create a soil nailed wall more than 47 metres high. The 18,000 m2 wall is reinforced with 100 AD/OC walling slabs (300 m2).

NGE opened its railway subsidiary TSO in 1987 to work in close cooperation with the ENR (Egyptian National Railways) and to develop rail transport, a sustainable mobility solution, across the country.
Our rail experts work on several construction and maintenance projects, on various types of networks: metro, conventional and high-speed lines.

In Egypt, the Group took part in the Banha-Port Saïd line upgrade in the north of the country, the construction of Cairo metro lines 1 and 3 and of the LRT 10th of Ramadan.

NGE began its activity in Uruguay in 2018 with the Ferrocarril Central project, a 273km railway line connecting the UPM cellulose plant in Pasos de los Toros to the Montevideo harbour.
