NGE completes the acquisition of Saceem and strengthens its footprint in Latin America.
NGE announces the completion of its acquisition of Saceem, Uruguay’s leading construction company. This transaction represents the most significant international external growth operation in NGE’s history and strengthens a presence built over more than 20 years in Latin America, particularly in Uruguay, Peru, and Paraguay. The enterprise value of the acquisition is USD 45 million.
With this operation, NGE’s international revenue increases by 78% year-on-year (proforma data), reaching €720 million. The Group now employs nearly 5,800 people within its International division, representing 22.5% of its total workforce. NGE anticipates international revenue to reach €1 billion by 2028.
Founded in 1951, Saceem has established itself as a key player in construction, infrastructure, energy, industry, hydraulic works, and concessions. In 2024, its infrastructure division represented 45% of its annual revenue, followed by road works (18%) and building construction (11%).
With a 10% market share in Uruguay’s public works sector and generating USD 350 million in annual revenue, Saceem is a cornerstone of the national economy, recognized for its technical excellence and proven expertise.
