NGE, France’s 4th largest construction and civil engineering group, announces the ongoing acquisition of Saceem, a leading player in Latin America in the fields of construction and concessions in Uruguay, Paraguay, and Peru.

Founded in 1951, Saceem is the construction leader in Uruguay. As the country’s leading builder of pors and bridges, Saceem specializes in eight fields: Infrastructure, Roads, Energy, Industry, Hydroelectric infrastructure, Telecommunications, Building Construction and, Concessions. In ten years, Saceem has enjoyed sustained growth of +130% since 2015 (approximately 9% average annual growth). Its revenue reached USD 350 million in 2024.

A new growth trajectory in Latin America for Saceem, powered by NGE’s Multi-expertise strategy
For Saceem, joining NGE represents an opportunity to leverage the investment capacity of a group generating €4.6 billion in revenue in 2024 and present in 20 countries. This combination opens new development prospects, particularly in concessions and enhanced project engineering capabilities.

With this acquisition, NGE reaffirms its ambition to become a key player in Latin America. The Group will build on Saceem’s recognized expertise to support the development of strategic infrastructure and strengthen its regional footprint in Uruguay, Peru, and Paraguay. This geographical area will thus become the Group’s leading international zone, ahead of Africa.

In addition to NGE’s international expertise in project financing, railways, and hydraulic engineering, the integration of Saceem will consolidate market share for the new entity and provide a comprehensive, integrated multi-expertise offering tailored
to the region’s growing infrastructure needs and the expansion of public-private partnership models.
