Construction of the tunnel entrance

NGE and its partners are in charge of the construction of the Lyon-Turin high-speed rail tunnel, on the French side.

This tunnel extends on nearly 57.5 km and represents the cross-border section connecting the train stations of Saint-Jean-de-Maurienne (France) and Suse (in Italy), with connections to regional lines.

Strong environmental, economic and societal commitments have been taken. The respect of the local residents is a priority by limiting noise pollution related to the worksite thanks to the construction of three acoustic buildings.

This new railway line is 270 km-long and will allow to develop the European rail connections.
